Weather Policy
Understanding our weather policies and how to prepare for British weather
Weather Cancellation Policy
Our Commitment
We monitor weather forecasts closely and prioritize camper safety above all else.
Event Cancellation
If the circuit cancels the motorsport event due to extreme weather, we will work with our ticketing partner to process refunds.
Camping fees will be refunded in full if the event does not proceed.
Partial events (e.g., Sunday cancelled but Saturday ran) may receive partial refunds.
Circuit decision: We cannot cancel camping if the circuit proceeds with the event.
Severe Weather Warning
If Met Office issues a Red Warning or authorities advise evacuation, we will:
- Notify all campers immediately
- Provide safe shelter locations if needed
- Work with you on refunds or rebooking
Standard Weather Variations
Rain, wind, cold temperatures, or sunshine are normal for outdoor camping.
We cannot offer refunds for standard British weather conditions. All our facilities are designed to operate in typical UK weather.
What We Provide in Bad Weather
- 24/7 site team monitoring conditions
- Weather updates via event app/signage
- Emergency shelter locations marked on site map
- Extra drainage and groundwork in wet conditions
Preparing for Different Weather
Rainy Conditions
- Pack waterproof clothing and wellies
- Bring extra tarps to cover gear
- Store electronics in waterproof bags
- Arrive early to select higher ground pitches (where available)
- Bring spare towels and dry clothing
- Consider Pre-Pitched or Glamping for weatherproof shelter
Weather Monitoring
We recommend downloading:
- • Met Office app (UK weather warnings)
- • Our event app (site-specific updates)
- • BBC Weather (local forecasts)
Insurance Recommendation
We strongly recommend travel/camping insurance.
Insurance may cover personal cancellations due to weather concerns. We cannot offer refunds if you choose not to attend due to forecast.
Check your policy terms before traveling.
